2018 Spring Shoe Trends: Heels

Call Me Lore's 2018 Spring Shoe Trends Block Heels Lace-Up Slingback Wedges

Spring is the season for weddings, outdoor parties, and swapping your jeans for dresses. Our favorite fall booties are almost ready to go into retirement for the season and while we aren’t quite ready to jump into swimsuit season, we are ready to start showing perfectly pedicured feet haha. You can check out my everyday spring shoe trends post that are flats here, but today, we are outfitting trends to step into a spring or summer occasion with style.

Some spring shoe staples have stayed in variation, but some new trends have made their way into the spotlight. Luckily, in Arizona we warm up pretty fast and are grabbing for sandals by February  (if you are me in December haha), so I have been trying out different trends and narrowed it down to my favorites.

Block Heel Party

Block heels had their moment in the fall and winter with the popularity of mules, but we aren’t kicking them out yet! They are the easiest heel to walk in and give a clean sharp “put together” look to dress up even the most casual of outfits. These are my favorite spring heels to wear to the office or when doing some walking around at an event. Its honestly a challenge for me to wear heels nowadays but now I go for beauty and comfort, not willing to risk my toes.

Lace It Up

Lace-up shoes will also give a permanent vacation vibe, whether you really are on the beachy streets of Greece or at a gorgeous outdoor wedding. I like to pair lace-up sandals with a dress or skirt with a lot of movement to make it even girlier and carefree.

The New Wedge

Known for the classic “anyone can walk in” heel, wedges come and go every spring or summer season. But this year they are taking a much different shape with a lower heel and ankle strap or texture and design to the toe. A mixture of the leather and embellishment or leather and fringed fabric add statement to the old everyday wedge.

Slingback Heel

There are so many variations of this on-trend look, from a chic kitten heel to leather to a woven-raffia block heel. Inspired by the Dior J’adore slingback pumps, slingback heels are everywhere. They’re as easy to throw on as a loafer or slide but turn a casual outfit into one fit for a special occasion, professional or leisure.

Head to Toe

Now that you have plenty of shoe options, take a look at my favorite spring dresses for every occasion. Goodbye stiff denim jeans and hello to a dress for each day!
