Having Diego has definitely changed our lives in every way. Even the activities we do on weekends have changed so much! We went from brunching with friends and riding our bikes to baby-friendly brunch, Musicology classes, kids’ birthday parties, and visits to the park. Before, weekends were nice, because we got to rest from work and spend time together and with friends. Now, our weekends are filled with family bonding time which is even better!
On normal weekdays, I am with Diego from 7-9am then go to work until 4pm. I then go home to spend the rest of the afternoon with him. On the weekends, both Dustin and I try to spend as much time as possible with him. We make a special effort to spend this time with him now because he is more active and aware, and we want to build as many memories as possible and enjoy every second together. Since I was never around little babies before, I had no idea how much fun and how active a 7-month-old can be.
Currently, our favorite thing to do is to go to the train park right by to our house. Now, we can easily spend two hours at the park, when before I could barely spend 5 minutes sitting still at the park (haha). As always, getting out of the house takes a little while because we want to bring everything and more, including the stroller, water, milk, snacks, and the list goes on. Once we get there, he LOVES to ride the carousel (as many times as his dad and I can handle it without getting dizzy). He also loves to get on the train ride, walk around the park, and for the grand finale, spend some time on the swings! Dustin and I love our time at the park too, we both enjoy seeing him having fun, smiling, and laughing. The sound of his laugh has become my favorite thing!
Here are some other things that we love to do as a family:
- Musicology class (we go every week)! I will be doing a post on Musicology soon.
- Breakfast at any restaurant with outside seating
- Playing in our backyard
- Playing with the puppies, his new best friends!
Soon, we will be starting swimming lessons and other classes! If you have any other suggestions for activities we can do as a family, I would love to hear them in the comment section below!
By the way how cute is Diego’s Catimini outfit!
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you in the next post!
P.S. My sweater is from Vince, jeans Rag and Bone, Fendi red backpack, and Valentino Sneakers.
