I started this blog because the idea of creating beautiful styled pictures that I get to keep for a lifetime has endless personal appeal! A blog allows me to record a forever journal where I can remember my life experiences at every point in history. At the same time, I get to enjoy & promote the business of blogging…I call it a win! My intrigue (some may call it an obsession) with the inner workings of business has made me determined to explore how today’s women look for inspiration, not from our favorite actresses and celebrities, but from our favorite bloggers. I think of bloggers as normal people that we may run into at the mall or nail salon. Personally, I feel like a blogger can connect with an audience much more effectively than any Hollywood celeb.
Most of you know that I am the co-founder of a company called Bloguettes (my other baby). It takes a huge amount of my time, but to me, it never feels like work because I’m genuinely doing something I love! I knew that to make this blog work, I needed help. I asked my friend Julie to help with the styling of some of my outfits and pictures and, let me tell you, she is awesome! She’s a super talented person and throughout the past few months of planning and meeting together, Julie has become a beautiful friend.
I encourage everyone reading that if you have ever considered starting a blog, share your idea with the world and it will happen! Surround yourself with influences that can make this dream a reality and know that you are not alone and help (in any form) is great! We all have our strengths and collaborating with others allows you to be your best in those strengths. What advice would you give to someone who has been thinking and re-thinking the idea of starting a blog for over a year now? The fear, the judgment, will people like it, will I be able to produce enough content, I am one blog in a million, self-confidence, competitive industry….I could go on and on.
