Nursery Checklist: My Must-Have Pieces

Call me Lore´s Nursery Must Haves

Hello!!! Happy start of the week, I hope everyone is having an amazing day. The post today is about my favorite nursery essentials. Putting together Diego’s nursery was one of my favorite things to do. I started by getting some inspiration from Pinterest and then worked with my friend and interior designer Jeanette to bring it to life.

After the nursery was ready the next step was to get all the “essentials.” By listening to everyone on what I needed to get – I ended up with sooooo much stuff and most of it I don’t even use!! I am sure this has been the case for most first-time moms. A lot of the stuff is still in boxes and probably should be passed to my next mommy friend! So, that’s why I decided to write this post about my nursery must-haves so far.

Nursery Essentials: My Must-Have Pieces

Bounce Bed & Swing

The Fisher Price bounce bed that you barely see in the first picture is a lifesaver, when Diego doesn’t want to sleep in his crib I put him there and bounce him a little and he falls asleep within 5 minutes! New mom’s you know what I mean! What I love the most is that I can bring it with me to my office or TV room and have him with me. He also looooves the Matching Fisher Price swing we have that in our family room and he loves hanging out in there while we watch TV.

Bassinet

My second most favorite thing is his Monte Design Rockwell Bassinet, besides it looking super modern and cool Diego loves it! He sleeps there at night for now and takes most of his day naps there. I love it because I can move it all over his room and also I can rock him while he is in there without having to pick him up all the time. The only thing I don’t love is that he won’t be able to fit in there pretty soon, he’s growing so fast! 🙁

Nursing Pillow

Breastfeeding was a challenge for me in the beginning so the Boppy Pillow made a big difference for me. I spend so many hours of the day feeding him that I think I would either lose my arm or have one awkwardly toned arm if I didn’t have it hahahah.  Even before I had him I knew swaddling a baby was the way to go but as with many things, I didn’t know how hard that would be so pre-made swaddle blankets have saved my life! I love them, they are so easy and doesn’t sleep well if he is not in one of them. My personal favorite is the Swaddleme Blanket, it has velcro and it is so comfortable for the baby and so easy for first time moms like me to use.

Diaper Trash Can

Finally, the most unglamourous but much needed Bubula Diaper trash can! We go through more than 10 diapers a day so it makes it easy to keep used diapers near the changing station (without stinking) instead of going out to the outside trash every time.

A Few Other Things…

Hopefully you found this post helpful and as always thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the photos of my new (2nd) favorite guy! 🙂
