Hello everyone!
Today I decided to share a quick post all about our favorite things to do as a family here in Phoenix during the holiday season. Spending time as a family is a priority, but we are always looking for different activities so we don’t get stuck doing the same thing. So, this season, we have been trying to do something different each weekend.
Things to Do in Phoenix During the Holidays
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
This is Diego’s favorite! All the pictures in this post are from our last visit. If you have little kids, they will love it. They have space to run around, a carousel, a mini train, and during the holiday season they have their Holiday lights. The lights start at 6:30 pm every day and end around 9:30 pm.
If you’re thinking about going, just be sure to get there before 6 so you don’t have any issues parking or getting on the train. The lines can get pretty long. This one is super close to our house, so we have been going almost every day and every day he is just as excited as the day before.
Christmas at The Princess
This is at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. It’s amazing, the whole hotel is decorated for Christmas and there are activities for the whole family. You can take a picture with Santa, walk around and see the lights and Christmas decorations, get on the Princess Express (a train ride for little kids), eat smores and they also have a Build a Bear Workshop for little kids. If you decide to go, I would recommend having dinner there (La Hacienda is my favorite restaurant there) that way you can valet your car and avoid the $85 fee.
Illumination
Largest holiday drive-through light show in Az. This is new this year and it’s literally millions of light synchronized to holiday music. It’s every day until January 14th and it is super affordable and amazing for the whole family to do together. I would recommend going on a weekday if you don’t want to stand in line for hours.
Phoenix Zoo Lights
This one is one of my favorites! We went for the first time this year and we had so much fun. The Zoo is covered in lights and we also got to see a super cool Dinosaur exhibit. Diego could not stop imitating the Dinosaur sounds after we left. You can go every day from 5:30 to 10:30. There’s also camel rides for the older kids and of course the carousel for the little ones.
Do you guys have any favorite Phoenix holiday activities? Let me know in the comments below!
P.S. I am in love with these black Madewell Overalls and Joie Mules!
