My Favorite Baby Snacks

Call me Lore's Favorite Baby Snacks

Hello everyone!

Eating healthy is a big part of my life. Of course I care about how I look, but I’m mainly concerned about how I feel. This feeling of needing to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle exponentialized when I was pregnant, because I really wanted to eat the best and most nutritious food so that Diego was strong and healthy.

Now that he’s a little older and he eats almost everything (those cheeks don’t lie haha), I am very focused on providing him with the best quality food. When we’re at home, it’s easy, as we home cook all his food. However, when we need to go out and bring snacks to entertain him, we need to choose something that is packaged. So, I did a little bit of research and came up with healthy options that are organic, tasty, and also super easy to bring with us!

Here are my favorites:

  • Ella’s Kitchen Pouches– I LOVE this brand. I was terrified to give Diego anything that was not homemade. I used to feel like a bad mom giving it to him (haha). Can anyone else relate to this? But, when I saw the ingredients and visited the company’s website, I was happy to see that the list of ingredients were super simple– just organic fruits and vegetables and a hint of lemon juice for acidity. No artificial ingredients! Diego also loves it. His favorite flavors are bananas with peaches and pear with mango and papaya. These are super easy to travel with as well!
  • Happy Baby Puffs— Diego really loves these puff snacks. In addition to eating them, they are also helpful for his coordination. As he eats them, he practices his fine coordination skills by putting them in his mouth. It’s the perfect way to teach a baby how to feed himself without causing too much mess! (haha) As you have probably noticed by now, I am a little apprehensive, so knowing that these snacks melt made me feel safe to feed them Diego! When he was younger, I was scared that he would choke on things! These snacks are also organic and are enriched with extra vitamins and superfoods. These are the best I found!

While packaged snacks are convenient, it’s so important to include fresh foods as well! Plus, studies have shown that feeding babies fresh foods may encourage healthy habits later on! I am not a nutritionist but that make sense to me haha. Some of Diego’s favorite fresh snacks are avocados, teething cookies, and small pieces of fruits and vegetables.

When it comes to incorporating fresh foods into babies’ diets, I have found it’s so important to be patient! It can take up to 7 tastes for a baby to decide whether or not they like the food. It’s also important to encourage them to try everything! Lastly, one of the most important things is to set a good example by making healthy choices for yourself! So if you want your baby to eat fruits and vegetables, hide in your closet when you are eating that ice cream sundae that you love 🙂

I hope you found these tips helpful! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you in my next post!

P.S. On this post I am wearing one of my favorite outfits from SEA. Check on the bottom of the post from my favorite pieces of this season’s collection!
