When I was in my early 20’s I would wear whatever shoes were cool without a care about how bad they were hurting my feet. I was perfectly fine sacrificing fashion for comfort (how many of you did that that or still do it?) but now I am NOT willing to get “bunions for fashion” hahahah. cute, classic, comfortable shoes are what I like these days. For that same reason I am so happy that sneakers have made a comeback and that they are not just for the gym (as my mom always said)! They are considered chic and cool and a basic on any fashion forward girl’s closet. One of my favorites is the Stan Smith by Adidas model, I love it just because of its simple and timeless design. Few people know but it was introduced in 1963, removed from the shelves in 2012 only to make a huge come back to the world of fashion in 2014 with a super strong social media and influencer campaign that obviously worked great for Adidas!
On this post I am wearing them with my new favorite maternity black skinny jeans from DL1961 and a simple button down shirt from Madewell and a black sweater from Equipment. With this outfit I feel like even if I am wearing sneakers I still look cute and stylish and I can show up at the office without the weird looks. At Bloguettes, business casual can be summed up in one word, “cute.” If after work I wanted to go to dinner or do something out and about maybe I would change my shoes to black pumps and Voilá! If you are thinking of buying a pair of trendy sneakers don’t just think that you can wear them with jeans, you can wear them stylishly with skirts, maxi dresses, and shorts as well!
