Spring is such an underrated season! Don’t get me wrong, I love getting to bundle up in cute jackets and sweaters, but dresses are SO comfortable, easy, and pretty. When you live in Arizona, dresses are an essential part of your wardrobe. I would choose a dress over pants or jeans ANY DAY, anyone else? Spring is just around the corner, which means 80 degree days in Phoenix, new trends, lighter colors, and of course, spring dresses. A couple of trends that I have noticed for 2018 spring fashion are ruffles, tie dresses and (as always) those pretty pastel colors that remind us of spring.
When buying dresses, I focus on ones that will last me a long time. I would rather buy two really good ones than 10 that I will not wear next year. I have dresses in my closet that I have worn for more than 5 years, which is an eternity in the fast fashion world we live in (haha). But you can always shop my Saks Storefront which I update frequently for my current favorites of the season.
You can find the link to the dress I am wearing here and at the bottom of the post–it’s from a brand called Prose and Poetry and you can find it at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Welcome to my 2018 Spring Dress Guide:
These are dresses that don’t sacrifice style for professionalism, but are wearable in the workplace but also flattering. Midi dresses are not only great for the office, but they’re perfect for when the weather is still a little unpredictable.
On The Weekend
Whether it’s a day at the park with family, brunch with the girls, or whatever falls into your weekend activities, step out in style. These dresses are easy to wear and my favorites when it’s nice enough to go outside.
If it’s a special night you should feel special, starting with your outfit. Whether you dress them up or dress them down, these can be your go-to night out options. I am loving the ruffle trend right now–it’s the perfect feminine touch for a date night.
This dress is one my favorite new finds, it’s from Derek Lam 10 Crosby it’s so perfect it looks like you are wearing a shirt on top of a dress. Plus you can actually wear the shirt and the dress separately, so you have 3 looks in one dress. I did not add it to any category because you can wear it so many ways, dress it up with heels or down with cute sneakers. It has its own category: CURRENT FAVORITE 🙂 Shoes you can wear with it:
