I can’t believe we are already in the middle of the week, I guess time just flies by when you are busy! Since I added working on my blog to my normal work schedule it has been a challenge keeping up with posting but it has without a doubt been an amazing experience and one that I enjoy it so much. Work-life balance was one of my new year’s resolutions (among 30 others that I have yet to work on) and what I found so far is that it doesn’t just happen overnight, it is a daily conscious effort right? Should I go the gym and take care of myself or keep working? Should Dustin and I have dinner together or should we both try to finish our tasks for the day? Do I work on a Sunday or do we go to brunch? Every answer to these questions gets me closer or further to/from achieving that balance that is so important. I don’t think it’s a race you ever actually win, but we must continue to get better!
So why did I decide to add a blog on top of everything I was doing including becoming a mom? (I have been asked this question multiple times) The quick answer is because I would rather “relax” doing something productive that I enjoy than watching Criminal Minds or any of my other favorite shows at night. The blog allows me to focus on my second & third passion: fashion and developing my creative side. What do you like to do in your down time?
Enough reflection and on to the fashion, we shot this outfit at one of my favorite places here in Phoenix: The Henry. This where we hold our weekly team meetings and my favorite work spot away from the office. For this outfit I am wearing the most comfortable maternity jeans I have purchased to date from J brand, a simple white top from Nili Lotan, my favorite beige heeled brogues from Cecelia (by the way they are on sale!), and my BCBG leather jacket that I’ve had for quite some time now.
Hope you are enjoying the blog as much as I enjoy working on it, see you on the next post.
So pretty! I love everything about this look! The bag is killer!
